Application Fees
RMB 415 Yuan or US$50

Examination Fees
RMB 415 Yuan or US$50 for Master's and PhD Degree Students

Registration Fees
RMB 125 Yuan or US$15 each semester for degree students, to be paid upon registration;
RMB 250 Yuan or US$30 as certification cost for language students when
re-applying for Form JW202

Handling Fees
RMB 250 Yuan or US$30 when students change program / course of study

Tuition
Total payments to be made upon registration; total refund is possible if submitting written withdrawal or suspension before school starts; 60% of tuition refunded if submitting written withdrawal within 14 days after  school starts, but only after cancellation of Residence Permit issued by Entry-Exit Administration of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau; not refundable 14 days after school starts.

Expenses on Textbooks and Teaching Materials
Based on actual purchases, to be paid when the purchase of textbooks is made.

Lodging Expenses
A deposit of RMB 800 Yuan or US$100 to be paid when checking into School apartments; total lodging expenses to be paid at the beginning of each semester, non-refundable even if vacating school apartment part of the way through the semester; lodging expenses and electricity bills based on metered consumption when students graduate from or quit school (short-term and group students not included);

Insurance
All international students are required by the university to buy medical insurance during their study in China. They can purchase insurance involving at least.
Accident Insurance and Medical and Hospitalization Insurance before or after their entry into China. Upon arrival at the university, the student should produce the policy provided by the insurance company or the relevant documents, notarized. The policy or the documents mentioned above should be either inChinese or in English.

Miscellaneous
For airport pick up service, please notify SUFE in advance concerning thearrival time, flight number, and arrival airport of the plane, and number ofpersons to be transported;

Free pick up if 5 or more students arrive on the same plane, but need to notify beforehand;

RMB 300 Yuan or US$35 / person for airport pickup service fee.

 

Leaving School

Procedures After Completion of Studies

When leaving school, international students should take their Diploma, Studies Certificate or Leaving School Permit to the Student Office to conclude their studies and notify the Student Office of the date and time of their departure;

Going to the Finance Section to pay all outstanding charges;

Checking out with the dormitory administration.

When quitting or suspending studies, international students need to put forward application for approval and then complete all the exit procedures within two weeks. The School will report to the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau for the record. In case of an extended stay in China, please contact the Entry-Exit Administration of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau.

Entry, Exit, Residence and Traveling in China

a. International students should observe ¡°Procedures of the People¡¯s Republic of China on Entry and Exit of Aliens¡±, and complete all the required procedures in entry-exit, residing and traveling and pay all the related costs. The relevant authority is Entry-Exit Administration of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau (Address: 1500 Minsheng Road, Shanghai; Telephone: 021-63576666 )

b. International students should make sure the passports they hold are valid. They need to apply to the embassy or consulate of their own countries for extension before expiration or they may be fined.

c. If there is a need for re-applying for residence permission or any change in the Residence Permit of an international student, he or she should get approval from the School and apply to the Entry-Exit Administration of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau at least one week in advance to avoid being fined by Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau in accordance with related regulations.

Extension of Studies: Short-term students should apply to the Enrollment Section for extension of studies before the end of each semester, and pay part or all of the tuition after submitting the application before the deadline.

d. International students should safeguard their passports when going traveling.

Off-Campus Housing

a. Eligibility: all those who are in possession of a Residence Permit;
b. Documents to be submitted include: ¡¤Application for off-campus residence;
¡¤Copy of ¡°Security Permit on Housing Lease¡± or ¡°Security Advice on Housing Lease¡±;
¡¤Copy of Rent Agreements.

  • International students should fill in Off-campus Residence Application Form to be signed and stamped by the School Director.
  • International students should report to the local police station for registration.
  • International students should go to Entry-Exit Administration of Aliens of
  • Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau to complete the procedure of address change.
  • International students should repeat all the above procedures if they change address.

Student ID Cards
a. The Student Section will issue Student ID Cards to international students following registration.

b. Student ID Cards will not be valid until stamped by the School.

c. In case of the loss of a Student ID Card, the student who has lost it must submit an application together with a photo and 100 Yuan for re-issuance. He or she will get a new Student ID card after the approval of the School Director.
The ID card will not be re-issued if lost again.

d. The student who has lost his or her Student ID Card and submitted application for re-issuance will get the new Student ID card within 4 weeks.

e. Short-term students are not eligible for Student ID Cards but can apply for Student Certificates if necessary.

Student Library / Reading Room Cards
a. All enrolled students including Bachelor's degree students, Master's degree students, those of equivalent academic level are eligible for Student Library / Reading Room Cards.

b. Entry into the reading-room at the School Library is available for language students and non-degree students with their Student ID cards.
