Alumni Association Office
Currently, SUFE has nearly ten million alumni who have passed through its gates on a full or part-time basis as either post-secondary, undergraduate, graduate or doctoral students. Many of these former students attended courses on SUFE’s main campus while others went through SUFE’s Correspondence College, Evening College, Self-Study College, Chinese-Language School or one of its On-the-Job Training Programs.
SUFE’s alumni, some of whom graduated before SUFE took its current name, have taken an active interest in the development of the university. Some of them give lectures regularly and play an important role in guiding scientific research and joint development projects. Some of them donate to the Education Scholarship Fund, which supports outstanding teachers and students. Others help the school to purchase educational equipment and to upgrade the school’s facilities.
The Alumni Association Office was set up in January of 2007. Mr. Zhang Yan, the deputy director of this office, has the overall responsibility for the Alumni Association’s work. Also on the staff are the former heads of the Alumni Office, Mr. Wang Zhengpei and Ms. Miao Zhaodi.
