SUFE’s Accounting and Finance disciplines rank in top 150

In the subject-specific world university rankings recently released by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), SUFE’s Accounting and Finance disciplines were listed in the top 150. QS’s rankings are based on academic peer review scores, employers’ scores, academic citations, student/teacher ratios and other key indicators. 2,858 universities’ programs were evaluated, and for 2013, 48 universities in mainland China had more than one professional area be recognized in the top 200. Of all the institutions providing global university rankings, QS, Times Higher Education and the World University Rankings are the three most influential.

SUFE alumnus becomes China Merchants Bank Party Secretary

SUFE alumnus Huiyu Tian now holds the post of China Merchants Bank Party Committee Secretary and the media is predicting that soon he will become the bank’s governor. Tian, a Senior Economist, graduated from SUFE’s Finance and Credit Department in 1987 and received a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University in 2002. During his career, he has held posts in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen’s financial institutions.
